A Nouba-tastic Review

Monday I posted a mini haul on my newest additions and I promise a new post reviewing these products and also sharing the swatches.

Like I previously told you I bumped into this ‘high end’ drugstore where they had a 50% off sale on all their Nouba products that needs to be sold-out since they want to start selling a new brand. And knowing me I couldn’t pass of such great of a deal but still didn’t want to buy something just to buy.

Magnolia Makeup Review

The last hours of 2011 and I’m writing my little review of my Magnolia Makeup pigments.
Magnolia Makeup is a makeup brand of 2 years made by freelance makeup artist Niala and her sister Tia.

“Magnolia Makeup, based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a company devoted to color. We are trying to fill a void in the cosmetic industry and our tool is the spectrum. At Magnolia Makeup we are known for our highly pigmented products. We want to continuously supply our customers with quality, fun makeup for any occasion.”

I’ve wanted to try their products for I don’t know how long, but still thought that $10 per pigments was a little steep.
But finally my patience paid off. They came with a great sale for Black Friday, a 50% off of their pigments and glitters! This means that the pigments were now $5! I order 7 different pigments.

In my haul video you could already see the different colors I bought, but today in this post I’m going to share my thoughts and also swatches with you.

Review: Golden Magical Nails

Last week I did a little order at Enchantra for some goodie goodies. Some of the goodies were nail polishes of the brand ‘Golden Rose’. This brand is well known for their beautiful “flakies” but they also have some holographic nail polishes.

Since I never bought any holographic nail polish, I thought that we have to make a change in that.

Review: Victoria's Secret Metallic Eyes Palette

Victoria’sSecret is well known for their lingerie and their “Angels” with the big wings on the runways.

But in beauty land their also known for their beauty line consisting different make-up products, body-sprays and lotion and also perfumes. Which by the way there's one that I’ve already introduced you to.

Unfortunately for us Dutchies there’s no place near where we could buy anything of the Victoria’s Secret line. Or maybe there is, but you have to be flying somewhere to go behind the customs at the airport to visit the VS shop.

For me, while flying to Curacao I didn’t have the chance to visit the shop behind the customs, but did find some products at a local shop called Penha on Curacao. They had quite an amount of body-sprays, lotions and perfumes while the make-up was not much. It was most eyeliners, lip-glosses and the Metallic Eyes palette

I was not impressed at all, but then again it couldn’t hurt to test out the palette since it wasn’t that expensive either.

Curious? Then click for more!

Boughts & Thoughts: Zoeva Lip Crayons

I’m becoming more obsessed with lipsticks lately. It’s not that I don’t own any lip glosses, but the color that a lipstick gives is way more than any gloss.

A week ago I did a little order at ZOEVA, the German webshop where I ordered a couple of brushes months ago. I ordered a gift and then saw that they were selling these new items called the ‘Lip Crayons’. Like I said in my previous Zoeva post, they don’t sell only brushes and palettes, but also lip products and other eye products.

Anyway to get to the point, seeing those ‘Lip Crayons’ got me curious*as always* that I had to order 2 of them to try out.

So, if you want to know more and more about these crayons just click on for more.

Bought's & Thoughts Catrice's Modern Muse

What would the make-up world be without all the limited editions?
I’d ask myself every now & then. I’ll guess the answer is that everything would be the same. Maybe a little less dramatic, but still the same.

Limited editions or LE as we called it are every beauty brands idea to cash in on us as beauty-freaks. Why you ask? Just the thought that you may never get that product again… It makes us nuts, go all coo coo and want to buy them all.

In my case, I love the LE’s but still think twice before buying, if I need it or not. But still I have a weak spot which is Sleek, which I think you’ll already guess. But besides that, I’m good.

Anyway to go to the main reason of this article I did a little make-up shopping lately of Catrice’s latest LE ‘Modern Muse’. A LE inspired by the 60’s celebrities using gold, bronzy colors but with a modern twist.

Review: Inglot Freedom System

In early June I wrote about “The Freedom of Choosing Colors”, an article about my first trip to Inglot. And since then it’s been a whole rage around Inglot in beauty blogging land. Everyone has been talking – typing – about Inglot, Inglot is everywhere!

So I lay back a little with my review of my freedom system palette until today.

If you want to see the color I bought and also a look I did with my palette, then keep on reading for more.

Review: A Gorgeous KIKO Blush

They do say less is more. Today I’m reviewing shortly, the amazingly beautiful KIKO blush that I bought on my latest visit to KIKO in CentrO in Oberhausen, Germany.

As some of you already know, KIKO is an Italian make-up brand that has some really great items in their entire collection.

I’ve been a real blush fanatic lately and ever since I saw the Nars Orgasm – in pictures though – I’ve always wanted to buy it. But I never came to.

Review: P2 Nail polishes

During our latest visit at CentrO I’ve bought tons of products at the DM which I’ve already shown you in my CentrO shoplog. One of those products I’ve purchased was the P2 nail polishes. And today I’m going to share my opinion of them.

Like I already told you before P2 had the weirdest nail polish colors. Not those same colors we get every time, but really nice vivid colors that you don’t come across easily.
Normally I’ve wouldn’t bought any polish, but because of these next color I just couldn’t leave them behind.

Glitter here, glitter there, glitter everywhere!

What would make-up be without glitter???
You can glam up your look, bring that extra “umpf” using glitter.

As the blogger that I am, I love to write and also read others blogs. By reading I get to know products that I never used before and also get the opinion on them if it’s worth buying or not.

While reading I came across the products of ‘Eye Kandy Cosmetics’ and I became super curios. And a couple of weeks ago I finally made an order of some of their products.
If you’ve been following me on twitter you might have seen this TwitPic.  It was just after my order came in and I was so freakin happy, because the products were to as beautiful that I expected.

Let me introduce you to the glitter ‘sprinkles’ of the brand Eye Kandy!

NOTD: Hot Yellow Power

Hello hello my lovalicious babes!
How's everything been going??? Hope its well!

Yellow is hot hot hot for these hot summery days. It’s one of the 'It' colors for the summer.
And lately it’s extra hot to have yellow on Le nails. That's very noticeable, because every nail polish company is coming up with a nice yellow color especially to sell for the summer.
