Reader's Challenge - The Febraury Edition

Oh oh… it’s almost the 10^th of February and I haven’t posted the new pictures and theme for this month reader’s challenge!!! Bad, bad, bad me!!!

For this second challenge edition I wanted to keep things a little fashion related since we were in the International AmsterdamFashion Week these last weeks.

Moving on. A week or two ago I posted the Spring/ Summer beauty trends according to the magazine Bazaar. If you haven’t read that post yet, you can click here.

I decided to use 3 of these trends as a theme and 3 different runway fashions picture as an inspiration.

Tip: Black Friday Shopping

Black Friday!

If you asked me 1 year ago what ‘Black Friday’ means, I would probably have said that it’s something dark, maybe another version of Friday the 13^th or a late Halloween celebration… I don’t know. But one thing for sure ii would have never ever guessed that this has something to do with shopping! And even better with super sale shopping!!!

For those that don’t know, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving where Christmas shopping traditionally begins. On this particular day most major retailers in the States like Wal-Mart and Target, open extremely early. And I really mean super early, around 4.00 AM!!! 

And that is not even the crazy part yet. Some people are so obsessed with the shopping that they go on thanksgiving night and camp out in line in the front of the building! Seriously?!

But it’s not only the big retailers, most of the webshops, good brands with expensive items, have the greatest sales. You just need a code *or sometimes not*.

Last year I found out about ‘Black Friday’ after everything was over. And OMG, I could have cried *but I didn’t*. The sales where awesome and they were all over. I really missed out.

So you know now that I’ve been really looking out for this year’s Black Friday!!! Checking where to order or not, what I want to buy both beauty and fashion related. 

And you gals know I can’t let this day go by without sharing my little research with you.

Selena Gomez at the EMA's

Last night the MTV European Music Awards were held at Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland in the Odyssey Arena.

This year’s host was the girl that lot’s of Bieblievers love to hate, little miss Selena Gomez. And I have to say that she did a great job, it was very entertaining.

Since Katy Perry’s EMA hosting in ’08 & ’09 I’ve been looking forward to the many outfit changes during the show. In Mrs. Perry’s own words: “To be a good host, you have to change at least 12 times.”

Well Selena didn’t change 12 times but she got close enough. She had 9 different outfits during the entire night. And I’m going to share them in this blog post.

The Emmy High Fashion

As most of you already know the Emmy Awards were held off last Sunday the 18^th of September. And for me, I’m not much of a big fan of these awards, but I am a huge fan of the Red Carpet edition. Al those gorgeous dresses and suites make me just… *squeak*!

And one of my favorite show to watch which is related to these awards is ‘E!’sFashion Police’ presented by Joan Rivers along with Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos. And for the special Emmy’s edition they had ‘Project Runway’ judge Nina Garcia.

Like I mentioned before I’m pretty busy these days and today finally got the chance to sit and watch the show and to hear their comments fashion-wise of the celebrity’s wardrobe.

Brought Along: Rings

As you know, I’m at Curacao at the moment taking care of my mommy. And I thought that it would be fun to do a ‘What did I take to’ video. But since a video is going to take too much time (filming + editing) I thought of adding this new chapter to Life Fascinations!

As you can see it’s called ‘Brought Along’. Here I’m going to show you in pictures and in different parts everything (beauty & accessories) I brought along to Curacao.

Every fashion lover knows that accessories finishes your look, they make your outfit a statement. Doesn’t matter if it’s an earring or a hat or even a scarf, they complete your outfit!

For me wearing accessories is the main thing to finish my whole look. I love me some hoop earrings or lately rings. But the most I’ve been going crazy about are the bold necklaces.

I’ve been so in love with them lately and want to buy more time after time.

The Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are really popular lately. They are a great dress choice for the summer, especially on the hot days.

It's weird how a couple of years ago most of us would say no at wearing these dresses or the long skirts. It makes me remember my mothers words: "Every fashion style of her time - Maxi dresses & skirts, RayBan glasses, colors - comes back.

Shoplog CentrO July 2011

Good day my precious!

It’s another day with another video.

Shopping outside of your country is always fun. You get to see and buy products that you’ve never known or that’s difficult to get in your own country.

Last week I went along with Lara & Vanya of beauty blog “Make-up and More” and also her sister Dani to CentrO, this big mall in Oberhausen, Germany.

As the girls that we are, we did some great shopping and enjoy our day there while having lots of fun.

And today - a week later - I have my shoplog for y’all of all the stuff that I bought.

Shoes, shoes & more Giveaways!

That’s what I would’ve say when I saw my perfect pair of shoes!

Well okay, you gals know that I’m a truly shoe-aholic and couple of days ago I discover this new shoe webshop. And O-M-G… it’s heaven!!! Seriously, I was hearing angels singing!!!

So I had to share this with you all, just because they deserve to be shared.

The webshop is called ‘Die wil ik hebben’, which means ‘I want that’. It’s a new webshop – only 2 years old – but I can assure you its very promising. Their motto is “High Heels, Real Love!”.

They sell shoes to die for. Those hot high heels that will make everybody stop and drool away. A real showstopper. And the cool part is that these shoes are not like any other. Not those H&M shoes that everybody has. No, not even close. 

Silk Fashion & Business Spring Event + video

It’s been awhile since I posted something about fashion. And yes fashion IS still a fascination of mine. Only hadn’t the time for it with all the beauty stuff around me.

So as compensation today I have my recap on a whole fashion show for you.

Last week I got an invitation for the Fashion & Business Spring Event held by Silk Pr, Events & Models. It was hosted by the girls of “Mode Meisjes met een Missie” – which means “Fashion Girls on a Mission”.

The style of Dita Von Teese

Since being so interested in fashion lately, I’ve been thinking of which celebrity I really like their fashion style most.

I’ve never been sooo interested in fashion until recently, but I´ve always been following most celebrity on fashion blogs or gossip blogs. And I always had some celebrity that I really liked the way they dress up or down for different events or just to go to the studio or shopping.

One of the celebrity I’ve always liked her style of fashion is Miss Dita Von Teese. She’s this super pale skin burlesque dancer with an amazing fashion style. She’s always classy, even when she works out! I love her 1930's to 1950's Pin Up girl style and her infamous red lips. Totally Marilyn Monroe. Her clothing, make-up, hair; everything fits perfectly. She’s just gorgeous!

Block that Color on your eyes!

Remember last week I posted an article about the new spring fashion trend Color Blocking? Well, I went on a trip called experiment and did a Color Blocking look!

All those bright colors together. I thought if you can wear it; why not make a make-up look out of it?! So I got inspired by this Gucci SS2011 collection outfit.

Block that Color!!!

For those who don’t know yet, the spring season is here! The sun is all out and about, the flowers are blooming, birds are happily singing and everybody is happy with a big smile on their faces.

In the fashion scene there are a lot of new trends that comes along with the season. A couple of weeks ago I posted an article about the power of flowers and for today I’m going to tell you about yet another fashion trend; bright colors and color blocking.

Can you smell the Fashion Flowers?

It’s a beautiful morning, the sun is shining, flowers are blooming, everybody is happy. Yep, Spring is almost here!!! This is my favorite season, not just of because the weather and the people, but also for the fresh spring fashion looks.

As all you fashion lovers already spotted on the runaways in the Fashion Weeks, the power of flower will be this year spring thing along with lace, the maxi skirt and the bright colors.

Germany Shoplog

Yesterday I went to Germany along with my dad and my boyfriend. To specify we went to Oberhausen were they have this big mall called CentrO. While shopping I ran a crossed this Italian make-up brand named KIKO Make Up Milano.

In this post I’m going to share with you the things that a bought yesterday.

GoJane Shoplog

Here in Holland it’s always very difficult to find nice shoes to wear. They are always too plain, too black, too simple or too expensive. And in the winter you can forget to find that perfect red pump for that perfect red dress. 

So I was online looking around and came up against GoJane. It’s this webshop were they have this big variety dresses, skirts, tank tops, accessories and SHOES! Heels, flats, sandals, wedges, booties, you name it, they got it. They had these super hot pumps that I couldn’t leave. So I made my order immediately. 

And today after a long wait, my order finally came! Take a look at my shoes.

The summer is long over and the coldly days already started. And believe me it will get colder. So we’ve got to dress good and warm to protect yourself against the cold. But that doesn't mean wearing your most fugly outfit.
