Tutorial Glitter M&M's - challenge

It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded a tutorial/ seriously, it feels like it’s been ages!
January 2012 is over and done and after counting the votes for the readers make-up challenge the winner picture and theme were…

The M&M’s picture and Glitter theme

I wanted to do an extreme look, but the thing is I failed completely. I could not manage to get any extreme look.
After several attempts of priming, blending, removing, glitters, lipsticks, eyeliner….
I came with this creation. I use the colors of the M&M pictures and added the glitter to finish it off.

Check it out!

New Years Eve Look

On New Year’s Eve I celebrated among my friends. We had a great time, saw some fireworks, ate delicious food, and drank champagne… anyway, like I said we had a great time.
And you guys know for an awesome night you need to have an awesome makeup, especially if it’s the last day of the year.
So I went all out and use a little bit of everything… colors & glitter, just the way I like it.

Christmas Days: Look, Gifts & Haul

Christmas was near, Christmas was here and now it’s gone. The days just go so fast.
I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and that you enjoyed every little second of it.

For me, I had a great Christmas along with my family.
I had a blast opening gifts on Christmas Eve with my cousins and ate a delicious dinner. Seriously, it was super delicious that I ate things I normally don’t like. On Sunday, Christmas day I continued travelling to Maastricht to my other aunts and uncles. We had so much fun.

Video: Smokey Eyes Tutorial

A couple of months ago I got the request to do a smokey eye tutorial on dark skin tone. I’ve been postponing this for I don’t know how long. I did made a tutorial then, but wasn’t that happy with the results.

After lots of applying, blending, wiping off and doing it all over again, I finally came out with two different smokey eye looks: a softer one and a dramatic one.
This next tutorial is of the dramatic one. For this look I’ve used my Sleek ‘Oh SoSpecial’ palette since I noticed that I never did any look or tutorial with this palette, which also is one of my favorite palettes.
The softer smokey eye tutorial will be uploaded at the end of this week.

Anyway, enough chit-chat. Here’s the tutorial! Enjoy!

Halloween look: The Silent Glitter Zombie

Happy Monday and also a Happy Halloween!

Halloween is the holiday that’s known for trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, costumes and candies!!! But in the beauty world it’s also the holiday where everyone gets wild and make the most awesome Halloween inspired tutorials!

I never grew up celebrating Halloween, wasn’t much into it. But still I get so fascinated with all the make-up looks.

For this year Halloween I wasn’t that much inspired though until last Saturday night where I suddenly got this idea to make a simple zombie look.

For a list of the products and the steps that I took, click on for more. And also, this post might be a little picture overloaded ;-)

A gracious tutorial

It’s not very often that I get inspiration out of an everyday thing or any magazine look. Usually I play with the colors, look which ones to combine with and then create my own looks.

But some weeks ago when visiting my family in Maastricht I came across a Dutch ‘Grazia’ and it had a real cool look that just knew that I had to remake.
So I did and today I’m sharing my tutorial on this colorful yet simple and fresh look.

The model in the magazine had a nice fresh face without any heavy make-up on. So I also went for the same and tried to keep it as fresh as possible.
This look would be great for a midsummer afternoon on the beach or for a festival.

Review - Oh So Special

It’s only weeks ago that Sleek MakeUp launched their Mediterranean collection, a nice and colorful collection, perfect for the summer. You might have seen the palette and the blush here on Life Fascinations! I used both of them for my Hawaiian dare tutorial.

You may have noticed that as much as I love Sleek, I don’t do palette reviews here on my blog. The reason is that I think that when a palette is released or any other popular product, everybody is talking about it. Every blogger blogs about the same thing, the same names, same swatches… With only different blogger and different pictures. You can search in Google for all kind of reviews of a product. So instead of that, I make tutorials with the product, so you can see how you can use it.

But today I’m going to ignore my main reasons and do a review on my super new Sleek ‘Oh So Special’ palette.

You are sooo on! The Hawaiian dare

Gooooodmorning everybody!
Hope that everything is going A-O-Kay with yall!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was tweeting with other bloggers and we came with this ‘daring’ idea. Dare each other with a awesome make-up look.

And finally today you get to look at our dary made look! The theme we picked as a dare is Hawaii. Since it’s summer…

The only thing is that now you only get to see this picture of me, since yesterday I made a this look in a tutorial but I had problem with the video and uploading and stupid me didn’t take pictures.
So I woke up early this morning to re-film my tutorial and take some pictures for you guys. As a hint… I use the Sleek MakeUp just released palette Monaco of the Mediterranean Collection.

So, if you want to see how I made this look and what did I use, please come back later to see my tutorial.

And also visit my other lovely daring bloggers to check their Hawaiian-dare-look out.
*Desirée of Curvacious
* Annigjen of Bloggin Beauties
Just one little thing, their blogs are in Dutch, but it’s nothing that Google Translator can’t fix. ;)

Anyways, this was it for now, guess I’ll see you later Alligator! hehe

If you can’t see this video, click here.

To closed this Sleek Week, here’s a peek at my Sleek stash by far. Enjoy!

Sleek Week - I-Dusts

This is going to be my last sleek review for the Sleek Week and I think also for quite some time. Because after this week I’m going to take a time off of Sleek…

Hah! Who am I kidding, a Sleek addict like me can never stop or take a time off of Sleek. But I will try though.

Anyway for this last Sleek Week post I have a review and a mini-look of the I-Dusts.
So, if you want to see more than get to ze clicking for more.

Sleek Week - The Pouty Mouthy

Sometimes lipsticks are the finish touch to complete a look. But all the intense colorization and all those ingredients in the lipsticks can damage your lips and dried them. So they need their rest from time to time from the lipsticks and just an appliance of a lip balm for care.
But that same lip balm can be a bit boring. So what better than a great tinted lip balm with some super caring ingredients to apply on your lips.

For this Sleek Week post I’m going to take you thru Sleek’s other lip product, the Pout Polish.

Sleek Week - The Sunset Look

A sunset look that I made using my Sleek Sunset palette. Enjoy!

Sleek Week - The Sleek Lipsticks

So much for a Sleek Week.
As you already noticed Thursday I didn’t post anything because I was a bit busy and simply just couldn’t.
And then, when I came home that night thinking that I could write and planned a post for Friday I got a big surprise. Blogger’s server was down down down!!! So annoying.
Okay I thought it wouldn’t take that long. Boy, I was sooo wrong. It took the whole day and it was until Friday night that the server started working again.
And that brings us here today were I’m going to treat you guys with 3 different posts for the Sleek Week.

And the first post for today is going to be about Sleek’s Lipsticks.
So if you want to see more of these super pigmented cuties, click for more.

Sleek Week - The Molten Metal

The Sleek Molten Metal.
As you already know, I went to the Enchantra Sleek Swatched Day last week and there it was. This small little palette with two gorgeous metallic cream eyeshadows in it. First thing to mind, -drooling- “Wooowww….prrreeetttyyyy”.

But after coming to my senses I thought how would you use this thing?!

As all of the most beauty lovers among us know, that cream eyeshadows will – I repeat – WILL always crease! So I went searching for ways to use this little baby, because it’s too beautiful to waste.
