Update || Catching Up

A bloggers block is really annoying. I’ve been experiencing this for at least 2 months. I lost it there for a moment, didn’t know what to blog about, having that stupid cursor keep blinking at me for hours without any words being written. At one point I started to give a little up. No bueno!

But then I remembered something… NEVER GIVE UP!

So finally I got the chance to sit down and finally words started to write themselves and blogposts started to form. It’s true what they say a clean home creates a clean mind. No stress, no pressure.

As you may have noticed I’ve been blogging for a whole week now and I’m really happy to. Hopefully I can sit, write and plan once a week so that Life Fascinations can actually gain some life back.

As most of you know I love making video’s. So while I was experiencing my bloggers block I had some great ideas for my YouTube channel which by the way just reached its 100th subscribers. I filmed some videos that I haven’t share online here and 2 of them are tutorials.

So for today I have 2 tutorials for you that you might have missed. The first one is sexy gold & red look using the Magnolia makeup pigments I bought last year during the black Friday sale

The second one is colorful look using Gosh pigments and Sugarpill eyeshadows. How I love the combination of teal, red and purple.

What do you think of these tutorials? Do you have any tutorial/video request?

Tutorial Glitter M&M's - challenge

It’s been a while since I’ve uploaded a tutorial/ seriously, it feels like it’s been ages!
January 2012 is over and done and after counting the votes for the readers make-up challenge the winner picture and theme were…

The M&M’s picture and Glitter theme

I wanted to do an extreme look, but the thing is I failed completely. I could not manage to get any extreme look.
After several attempts of priming, blending, removing, glitters, lipsticks, eyeliner….
I came with this creation. I use the colors of the M&M pictures and added the glitter to finish it off.

Check it out!

New Years Eve Look

On New Year’s Eve I celebrated among my friends. We had a great time, saw some fireworks, ate delicious food, and drank champagne… anyway, like I said we had a great time.
And you guys know for an awesome night you need to have an awesome makeup, especially if it’s the last day of the year.
So I went all out and use a little bit of everything… colors & glitter, just the way I like it.

Video: The Pink & Purple Tutorial

A couple of weeks ago, after some sicky days I filmed this tutorial of this pink & purple look. I used most of all Sleek and NYX products. Enjoy!

If you can’t see this video, click here.

And another thing, for the music for this tutorial I use music from local Curacao artists with exception of the intro and final song.
The song is called “Net un ora”, which means “Just one hour” and it’s in my native language Papiamentu. It’s by the rap-sing group ‘Area 51’.

What do you think of me using these kinds of music?
And what do you think of the tutorial?

Let me know all your opinions down below!
Have a great weekend!

A Colorful Artistic Nail Tutorial

While having acrylic nails I don’t tend do much with them other then over every 3-5 weeks I get them filled. I think you gals also noticed, because I don’t post much about nails and polishes here on Life Fascinations!

Personally I think it’s a shame because I have all the tools in house to create awesome nail arts, but it’s my timing that’s a bit too short. *whispiring* And I'm also just a tiny little bit lazy, shhhh don't tell anyone.

Don’t you wish some times that a day would be longer? Instead of 24 hours it would be 26 or 28 hours? I’m feeling like time is flying by and that I don’t get the chance to do everything I have planned.

But anyways, back to the nails. Because of that shame feeling and also because I had the new P2 nail polishes I’ve got the itchy feeling to do some nail art on my fresh filled nails.

A gracious tutorial

It’s not very often that I get inspiration out of an everyday thing or any magazine look. Usually I play with the colors, look which ones to combine with and then create my own looks.

But some weeks ago when visiting my family in Maastricht I came across a Dutch ‘Grazia’ and it had a real cool look that just knew that I had to remake.
So I did and today I’m sharing my tutorial on this colorful yet simple and fresh look.

The model in the magazine had a nice fresh face without any heavy make-up on. So I also went for the same and tried to keep it as fresh as possible.
This look would be great for a midsummer afternoon on the beach or for a festival.

If you can’t see this video, click here.

List of the products I used:
* Too Faced Primed & Poreless smoothing face primer
* MAC Blot powder in dark
* Hema eyebrow pencil #11
* Essence eyebrow gel
* NYX High Definition eyeshadow primer
* Sleek Makeup Monaco palette eyeshadow ‘Aquamarine’
* Sleek Makeup Paraguaya palette eyeshadows ‘Persimmon’ and ‘Stone’
* Catrice Kohl Kajal pencil #030 brown
* Manhattan Go 4 Big Lashes mascara
* NYX Cream blush in Glow
* NYX round lipstick in Spellbound
* Sleek Makeup Pout polish in Pink Cadillac

I hope you liked and also enjoy this video and I’ll see you soon!

You are sooo on! The Hawaiian dare

Gooooodmorning everybody!
Hope that everything is going A-O-Kay with yall!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was tweeting with other bloggers and we came with this ‘daring’ idea. Dare each other with a awesome make-up look.

And finally today you get to look at our dary made look! The theme we picked as a dare is Hawaii. Since it’s summer…

The only thing is that now you only get to see this picture of me, since yesterday I made a this look in a tutorial but I had problem with the video and uploading and stupid me didn’t take pictures.
So I woke up early this morning to re-film my tutorial and take some pictures for you guys. As a hint… I use the Sleek MakeUp just released palette Monaco of the Mediterranean Collection.

So, if you want to see how I made this look and what did I use, please come back later to see my tutorial.

And also visit my other lovely daring bloggers to check their Hawaiian-dare-look out.
*Desirée of Curvacious
* Annigjen of Bloggin Beauties
Just one little thing, their blogs are in Dutch, but it’s nothing that Google Translator can’t fix. ;)

Anyways, this was it for now, guess I’ll see you later Alligator! hehe
