Update || What to expect

Update || A little late

This is a really late update today. I’ve been busy all day and I completely forgot to post anything today.

I do have other blogposts planned, but the thing is that I still need to take pictures to complete the whole post. So now I have to improvise, a race against the clock… tick tock tick tock… and right now I don’t have zero (0!) inspiration!

And I really don’t want to miss a day blogging. This one still counts, doesn’t it?

I’ve been keeping up with the blogging for almost 2 weeks on a row now and I’m really happy with it. But I want to know your opinion. What do you think of my blog right now?

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Happy New Year! Bon aña!!!

A new day in a new week in a brand new year. The year 2012!!! OMG, I just can’t believe it how time flies. It’s just like yesterday that I moved to Holland and now this year is going to be my 6th year away from my dear island.

A new year. I wish you all the best for this year. Let’s be positive and keep on moving forward. And even if something goes wrong, look on the bright side because everything has a bright side and nothing happens without a reason. Maybe you won’t see it right away, but let it sink in and you’ll see.

I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me thru 2011. For all your comments, for all the feedback, for everything I appreciate it a lot. And I hope now in this brand new year you’ll keep on sticking with me.

I love you guys and again thank you!

By the way the New Year already brought us something. It brought us a new & fresh layout. As you can see it’s just a black & white simple layout with a hint of red. I like it a lot. I was a little tired of the old one and also I found it a little too much.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving dollz!

I know that not everybody celebrates this day and neither am I. Well, sorta…*not in the turkey eating family dinner way* but still I want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

On this day we celebrate being thankful for all the goodness around us. For me I’m greatly thankful for being a life and to wake-up every morning seeing that sun shining bright in my face *or even when it’s not shining and hiding behind the clouds*. I’m thankful for my beautiful family & friends that stick around with me no matter what. And I’m truly thankful for all my beautiful dollz that’s fascinated every single day and visit this blog time after time. I love you all ♥♥♥

Hello November!

Blogging… Why do we do it? Why do I do it? 

I started asking myself this question lately, because I’ve been noticing that I’m lacking way too much on the blogging scene. Do I really want to keep on blogging? Do I really like this?

Ehm, do I need to think this answer over? No way, I know for sure and my answer is… YEESSSS!!!

Before last year September I didn’t know much about blogging. I did read different columns on some websites, but further than that…nothing. And then suddenly it hit me.

I’ve discovered a new hobby and a way of sharing and since then I was hooked. I really love me some blogging, because here I can share my thoughts and everything that I want. And also it has definitely helped me socialize way better and knowing so much beautiful people on this globe. Even better I improved a-LOT *and believe when I say a lot* on my make-up skills. So yes, I’m pretty happy that I get to call myself a blogger and I’m thankful to that.

But okay, now to the less fun parts. Blogging also ask a lot of you… a lot of me. You definitely have to be a planner. Why you ask? Let me put it like this.

“Having a blog = writing on the blog = people reading = getting feedback = more comments = more traffic = don’t want to lower traffic = planning blog posts to keep readers coming back.”

There's a new comment system

Hey you! Yes, you! You behind that screen reading this post! Did you notice the new comment system?

Since a couple of months I’ve been looking for a new comment system just because I didn’t like the blogger way. There’s a lot of comment system out there, but I couldn’t find one that would work for me. Until I came across this Facebook comment system.

It took me a while before I could install it on ‘Life Fascinations’ but now I finally did and I love it.

Almost everyone has a Facebook account nowadays, so I don’t think it would be a problem. And the great part is, you can leave comments of your personal Fb account or even from your FB fanpage. 

But now the question, I know that this is my blog and all but you gals are the one that reads and leave me comments, you are the ones that are using the comment system.

I put a new poll in the sidebar where you can let me know what you think of this new comment system.

New layout

No no no, you’re not on the wrong blog. You’re right at Life Fascinations, but with a squeaky new lay-out.

Yes, yes, yes my lovely readers. Yesterday after trying to do some little changes, I ended up creating a whole new lay-out with new header and all.

I’ve been wandering with the idea for a new lay-out for a couple of weeks now, but wanted to publish it along with a new name on my birthday in October. But since I made this layout now, I’m going to hold on with that idea for while.

With this layout I solve some little problems I had with the old one and made it look more fun to look at and read. I also made a new header which personally I think is better than the old one.

I tried to hold on to some relax colors but with still a girly touch.

And now, I want you as my readers to be truly honest with me! Because it’s you that visit my blog on a regular basis and has to deal with the layout.

The No Buy Project

You know what…. That’s it!

I'm done! No more lipstick, blushes, eyeshadows, eyeliners or even nail polishes…No more Make-up or anything beauty related!

I’m going to do the ‘No Buy project’! I swear that I would never do it, that I could never hold on to a whole month without buying anything beauty wise. And that any one that can pull this off must be crazy.

Well now, I must be definitely crazy as I’m really going to hold one too. The plain reason why I’m going to do this is just too much make-up! 

Today I sat and realize that I’m spending way too much on all these stuff every month. And then I never get too get a good use out of them. I have tons of products to review and lots of looks to make. But every time I keep delaying them to never and I realize that this can’t go on anymore. 

So, instead of buying more stuff, I’m going to review all of those products and also make more YouTube videos to share with you all.

If I really need to buy something, it must because I really, really, REALLY need it! Which I don’t think that would be the case.

I'm even going to try the 'No Buy' also with clothes shopping, but that one I don't know yet. Once a shopaholic, always a shopaholic! I'm still going to try though. 

I’m really going to do all my best not to buy anything. As much as I like a product, as much I make myself believe that I need it, I’m going to hold in and not buy. To keep you all updated on this challenge, I’m going to share once a week – every Friday – my ‘frustration’ on how the ‘No Buy’ is going.

My ‘No Buy’ started the 21^st of July – as in yesterday☺– and will end on the 21^st of August. I know that it’s a weird timing, but I know myself. If I don’t act quickly I will be regretting this decision, going to find any other excuse not to do this.

So girls, Mz. Jenjuain of Life Fascinations! is holding a ‘No Buy’ till next month!

As you've been noticing I’ve been not blogging a lot these last days. It’s because I had to learn for my midterms for this week and also I’ve been having this killer tooth pain and I have to wait till over 2 weeks to get it done.

Anyways, so these last days I finally made my own fanpage on Facebook and add my blog on Bloglovin. Yay for meee!!! ^_^
