Movie of the week!

Since I haven’t post any movie of the week lately I have 2 movies for you guys this week. Since I love me some actions and comedy movies, I choose one hard action movie and one highlarious comedy to talk about.

Am I making you curios? Then just click on “Read More” to read more…

First I have the movie Drive Angry. It’s an action 3D film starring Nicolas Cage and Amber Heard.

It’s about a convicted felon (Cage) who breaks out of hell to prevent the cult that murdered his daughter from sacrificing his infant granddaughter on the night of the full moon. With just three days to go before the ritual killing, Milton crosses paths with knockout waitress Piper (Heard), who agrees to help him by stealing her ex-boyfriend's mean, cherry-red muscle machine. Between that high-performance car and Milton's own black '71 Challenger, they may have a shot at taking down the cult and saving his granddaughter's life. But charismatic cult leader Jonah King isn't running scared, because when hell is unleashed on Earth, he will be the most powerful man alive. Unfortunately for Milton, the cops are quickly closing in, and a savage serial killer known only as "The Accountant" is looking to have some bloody fun on the open roads. With each passing minute, Milton's last shot at redemption is fading, so he teams up with Piper to defeat Jonah's legions of loyal disciples, avenge the death of his daughter, and prevent the crazed cult leader from plunging the entire world into infernal darkness.

Rated: R
Genre: Action, Thriller
Release date: 24 February 2011 – Netherlands, 25 February 2011 – USA.

This movie is not like other 3D movie that was filmed with normal camera’s and afterwards made them into 3D. But Drive Angry was filmed the entire time with special 3D camera’s.

I was always a big fan of heavy action and muscle cars movie, so this is sure a movie that I don’t want to miss.

And as an second movie I have Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son starring Martin Lawrence and Brandon T. Jackson.

Malcolm Turner (Lawrence) has been going undercover as "Big Momma". His teenage stepson Trent Pierce (Jackson) has just graduated from high school and is accepted into Duke University. However, he prefers to pass on college and pursue a music career as a rapper named "Prodi-G". With his mother Sherry away on vacation, Trent tries to get Malcolm to sign a contract for him but Malcolm refuses as he believes that Trent should get his education. Persistent to get the signature, Trent follows Malcolm while he is working on a case and witnesses a murder. To keep Trent safe, Malcolm goes undercover as Big Momma for the third time. Trent joins him, going undercover as Big Momma's great niece "Charmaine Daisy Pierce" at a performing arts' school for girls. Trent tries to develop a romance with one of the girls as himself while "Big Momma" is being pursued by the school's goofball Marine Kurtis Kool who has a fascination with big women.

Rated: PG-13
Genre: Comedy
Release date: 18 February 2011 – USA, 17 March 2011 – Netherlands.

Seriously, Martin Lawrence has done it again. Simply, a highlarious movie to watch, just the face of Trent when he’s transformed into Charmaine is priceless. When this movie comes out here in Holland I’m definitely going to watch it.
